About eTruckWorld
eTruckWorld is the industry platform for electric trucks, built on a global database of battery-electric trucks and of the manufacturers that build them.
Why eTruckWorld exists
Road freight is going electric faster than almost anyone expected. Battery-electric trucks already account for a large share of new heavy-truck sales in China, makers in Europe and North America are moving their ranges to battery power, and the price of diesel has made the economics plain for fleets from South-East Asia to Latin America. Battery swapping, megawatt charging and lithium iron phosphate cells have changed what a truck can do in a single shift.
Yet the facts a buyer needs are scattered across hundreds of maker websites, brochures and type-approval documents, in different languages and units. eTruckWorld brings them together: every model with its battery, charging, power and weights in the same terms, and the maker behind it.
Built on close knowledge of the industry
eTruckWorld follows the electric truck industry as a whole: the established truck makers, the new manufacturers that are reshaping heavy transport, the battery and charging technologies they build on, and the fleets, dealers and importers who put their trucks to work. The database is maintained continuously as makers launch, update and retire their models.
Our standards
- Every figure has a source. Specifications come from the makers' own product pages, brochures and type-approval records, and each truck page names its source and the date it was checked.
- Comparable specifications. Batteries in kWh, weights in tonnes with pounds alongside, power in kW and horsepower, so trucks from any maker can be compared directly.
- Battery-electric only. Diesel, hybrid and diesel-electric models are left out.
- Independence. Manufacturers cannot pay to change facts or rankings. A manufacturer profile adds information about the company; it never changes the order or the content of comparisons.
What we cover
- Electric Semi Trucks: Battery-electric tractor units that pull semi-trailers, from regional distribution to long-haul and heavy-haul, with their battery, charging, motor power and combination weight.
- Electric Box Trucks and Rigid Trucks: Medium and heavy battery-electric rigid trucks: box trucks, curtainsiders, flatbeds and chassis cabs for urban and regional delivery.
- Electric Light Trucks: Battery-electric light trucks up to about 7.5 tonnes gross weight for city delivery, trades and municipal work.
- Electric Dump Trucks: Battery-electric dump trucks and tippers for construction, earthworks and short-haul aggregates, with battery swapping or fast charging.
- Electric Concrete Mixer Trucks: Battery-electric concrete mixer trucks: drum capacity, battery, chassis and weights.
- Electric Mining Trucks: Battery-electric off-highway mining trucks and wide-body mining dump trucks: payload, body capacity, drive power and gradeability.
- Electric Refuse and Municipal Trucks: Battery-electric refuse trucks, street sweepers, water sprinklers and dust suppression trucks for cities and work sites.
